CLASS 3 COURSE (FOR CLASS 3C LICENCE HOLDERS)

Classroom learning lets students focus on essential road safety with face-to-face guidance from our instructors — safe driving knowledge that benefits them lifelong.

• Each classroom theory lesson lasts 100 minutes.
• Lessons are conducted in English or Mandarin.
• Conducted in English at Level 4, Simulator Rooms B & C.
• Booking is required to attend a classroom theory lesson, and can be made online.
• All theory lessons must be completed before applying for the Traffic Police theory test.
• Be punctual and bring your training record booklet for attendance recording.

Theory Trial Test (TTT)

• The computerised TTT is our mock test to evaluate whether you are ready for the actual Traffic Police theory test.
• Each session offers either Practice Mode or Test Mode — changing mode mid-session is not allowed.
• Booking is required and can be made online. Each session costs $5.45.
• A maximum of 4 valid TTT bookings can be held at any one time.
• Attend at least two TTT (Practice mode) and pass the TTT (Test mode) before booking the Traffic Police Basic Theory Test.
• A passed TTT result is valid for 30 days — book the Traffic Police theory test before it expires.
• You may be asked to produce a booking receipt at the TTT Classroom on Level 4.
• No refund of fees for absence, for any reason.

Simulator lesson

• Students must complete simulator Modules 1 to 3.
• Each lesson is one module and lasts about 20 minutes.
• Conducted in English at Level 4, Simulator Rooms B & C.
• Booking opens after you complete Subject 8 of the training programme; each booking must be 24 hours apart.
• Be punctual — latecomers are considered absent and must rebook.
• Changing transmission model (manual ↔ automatic) means retaking all 3 modules.

Situational Based Simulator

• Students must complete the Situational Based Simulator lesson.
• Each lesson consists of three modules and lasts about 50 minutes.
• Available in English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil and Bengali, at Level 4 Simulator Room C.
• Booking opens after you complete Subject 5 of the training programme.

Important notes

• Be punctual. If you are late and cannot complete the lesson, you must repeat it.
• Cancellation online or over the counter is allowed at least 48 hours before the scheduled time; 72 hours if the lesson falls the day after a public holiday or SSDC rest day.
• If you feel unwell during a simulator lesson, seek assistance from the staff on duty.
• Pregnant students must produce a letter from their doctor or gynaecologist certifying they are fit to attend, submitted to the instructor before the lesson begins.

• Your Provisional Driving Licence validity must be updated in our system before booking practical lessons online.
• Each practical lesson lasts 100 minutes.
• Students typically attend 20 to 25 practical sessions to complete the driving course, and more if the minimum standard has not been met.
• A fixed instructor can be requested for a surcharge of S$13.08 per session; if the fixed instructor is not allocated, the surcharge is refunded to your student balance.
• Bring your student training record booklet and a valid PDL to every practical lesson — no training or refund without a valid PDL.
• Before booking the Traffic Police Practical Test you must complete all 3 simulator modules and all theory lessons, pass the Final Theory Test, hold a valid PDL and complete the final practical assessment.
• Cancellations must be made online at least 72 hours before the start time — 96 hours if the lesson falls the day after a public holiday or SSDC rest day.
• For cancellations under 72 hours, you may put the slot up for try-sell; if unsuccessful, you must attend the lesson.
• Medical certificates are not accepted for refunds or late cancellations.
• Pregnant students must bring a doctor’s letter certifying fitness for practical training, including emergency braking, to every lesson.
• No cancellation or try-sell of public holiday practical lessons is allowed.

Practical test

• Attending revision practical lessons before your test is encouraged.
• Bring a valid Singapore NRIC or passport, valid PDL, training record booklet and practical test payment receipt. Foreigners must bring a valid FIN card.
• All practical tests are conducted at SSDC Woodlands Circuit.
• Be punctual — latecomers will not be allowed to sit for the test.
• No multiple bookings across test centres; duplicates are cancelled and the candidate is disqualified.
• No refund of test fees (including vehicle rental and warm-up fees) for absence or cancellation, for any reason.
• Pregnant students must bring a recent doctor’s letter certifying fitness for the practical lesson and test, including emergency braking.
• For safety, a test is discontinued if the candidate accumulates 20 or more demerit points, or commits an immediate failure item such as mounting the kerb.
